Testimonials
“I met Anne at a Swim Stroke Analysis Workshop at the Wisconsin Athletic Club. She packed a lot of great tips into a group class and gave each student individual attention. She took a short video to me to watch myself, which I’d never had before, so I was able to pinpoint where to make the adjustments she suggested. I also worked with her individually for 4-sessions to focus on my form and turns leading up to my second triathlon. I was happy to report that my 500-yard swim segment race time went from 15:17 to 14:37, a full 40-seconds faster! I couldn’t have done it without Anne’s help and encouragement throughout!!”
— Wendy, Triathlete

Her love for the water is contagious and helped to instill confidence and love for swimming in our children. Anne is a skilled swimmer and instructor and goes above and beyond with lessons that are tailored and challenging, but most importantly fun!”
— Emily, Mother of Jamie and Wyatt
“I was unable to participate in water activities with my family previously as I was afraid and uncomfortable in water. Anne was so patient and encouraging and she knew exactly how to encourage someone afraid of the water. She helped me prove to myself that I can float in the water and her lessons were paced correctly for my needs. She understood my goals and worked towards meeting those very quickly and helped ease my fear of the water. At the end of 8 lessons, I am now comfortable floating in the water and more importantly, I am much more confident in the water. Working with Anne has enabled me to go in the water with my family when we go on vacations!”
— Nithya, Adult Swimmer
“Taking private swim lessons with Anne has allowed me to gain confidence in the water. Anne encourages me to challenge myself in the water and helps me with my technique. I feel strong in the water, it is the best!”

How Water Healed Me
I was six months old when I first met the water—cradled in the arms of my mom and dad at the Downtown YMCA. From the very beginning, I felt at home. The pool was a playground, a sanctuary, a place where I felt free and fearless. I was a natural, reaching the most advanced levels of swim lessons as a child, gliding through the water like it was second nature.
But at age 11, life shifted. I was diagnosed with moderate scoliosis, a curve in my spine that threatened to take me away from the sports I loved. Gymnastics, track, even gym class were taken away as I began an intensive treatment plan with a world-renowned chiropractor. My world felt small and restricted—but the one thing I was allowed to do was swim.
It turns out, water wasn’t just a place I loved—it was the medicine I needed.
Swimming strengthened the muscles around my spine. It brought balance, relief, and confidence to a body that was learning how to support itself differently. It didn’t just heal me physically—it gave me purpose. I joined my first swim team, the Washington Piranhas, won my very first race, and never looked back.
I swam all through high school—All Conference for four years and All-State Honorable Mention twice. When I graduated, I held 10 of the 11 school records. I went on to compete for the University of Minnesota, earning Big Ten team titles, the Dorothy Sheppard Humanitarian Award, and serving as Co-Captain my senior year. But even then, I knew my connection to water was deeper than competition.
I wanted to understand why water healed me.
So, I followed that calling around the world. I launched a project called Follow the Water—a quest to study the healing power of water across cultures and modalities. I trained in aquacycling, water massage, Watsu, floatation therapy, yoga, water birth, scuba diving, freediving, water dance, and meditation. I became fascinated by the ways water supports, soothes, and strengthens the body, mind, and spirit.
Now, I use all of this knowledge and experience to create transformative water experiences for others—whether you're a triathlete refining your stroke or someone healing after surgery. Whether you're learning to float for the first time or returning to the water after years away. I believe in co-creating a program that meets you where you are, helps you feel confident and strong, and deepens your relationship with this sacred element.
Since returning to Milwaukee in 2020, I’ve coached the Riverside University High School Swim Team, led a public warm water therapy class I designed called H2flOw, and taught countless children and adults how to swim with joy and safety. I currently work with MKE Rec Water School, teaching third graders in Milwaukee Public Schools how to be safe and confident in the water—a mission close to my heart.
My certifications include Lifeguarding/CPR/AED, Kundalini Yoga, Fluid Presence Levels I & II, Watsu, and Yoga Nidra—and everything I do is rooted in love for the water and for the people I share it with.
Water saved me. It healed my spine, calmed my anxious mind, and reminded me who I am. Now, I’m honored to hold space for others to experience the same transformation.
Come swim with me. Float with me. Heal with me.
Let the water remind you that you are already whole.

PHILOSOPHY:
I was diagnosed with moderate scoliosis at age 11. I was taken out of all my high impact sports - gymnastics, track, and even gym class for two years while being treated by a world renowned Chiropractor. The only physical activity I was allowed to do was swimming. Turns out it was the sport I was best at.
Water strengthened the muscles around my spine and healed me and I wanted to know how and why. I would go on a quest to explore the various ways water naturally heals the body, mind, and spirit. I studied aquacycling, yoga, floatation, swim coaching, water massage, water dance, water meditation, free diving, and water birth. I draw upon my training and knowledge to design water sessions that help people meet their goals.
Water has the ability to strengthen our muscles, calm our minds, and rebuild our wellness routine. Whether you are a triathlete needing stroke technique or have a surgery you are recovering from, let’s co-create the program that keeps you strong, confident and feeling good in the water and on land.
